February 7, 2024 - Pas tuable ce vin, de mieux en mieux.
    Super dense et fort complexe.
    Tout simplement délicieux, il en
a encore beaucoup dans le corps.
    FABULEUX!

February 6, 2024 - Picked this bottle up at auction a while back. I loved the '07 of this and was hoping the '09 would be similar but alas, it is not. Or, at least this bottle isn't. Coravined a small sample for sastewart, his spouse and myself at the end of our meet. Dark amber in the glass. Nose of honey and orange marmalade. Palate at the pnp is somewhat flat, one dimensional and muted. mouth weight feels very light/thin on the palate and with just a hint of alc that I've not detected in previous older vintages. There is a decided lack of that smooth, viscous mouthfeel that I've come to love with these. Seems like there's a lack of acidity, too. After about an hour of air it starts to fill out slightly on the palate, yet the wine itself seems a tad simple compared to the '07 and '08. 89-90 at the pnp, maybe 91 over that hour? I'm a bit disappointed.

December 21, 2023 - A lovely drop, we brought this back from SA a few years ago and were looking for an opportunity to share it specially. Had it with a group blind, including 4 or so DipWSET's and an aspiring MW and it was anyone's guess as to origin, but quality was unanimous.
    Fro the winery web site:
Golden orange in colour, with delicate aromas of nougat
and honeycomb. The palate has a fresh acidity with rich
flavours of Seville marmalade and dried apricots
enveloping the mouth. These fruity notes are married with
sandal wood and all spice flavours. Richly aromatic that
tapers into a elegant and endless finish.

November 11, 2022 - I'd rate this as good as any sweet white. Plenty of fruit
