February 9, 2023 - Holding up with a faded profile, but still pleasant.

January 18, 2020 - Really expected this to be way over the hill, but was so pleasantly surprised how great it was. Normally I think old Napa cabs fade more than open and change like this one has. It now has a kind of Brunello quality. Little bit of old world, green pepper flavor that I don’t remember being there before. Still has the cherry and unique Diamond Mtn “earth” from its younger days, but the color has lightened and the tannins are mostly gone. No need to decant, but the bottle held up great over the hour or so, had good acid, and still paired great with a big steak. Glad I have another bottle, and I’m no longer in a rush to drink it.

March 5, 2016 - Deep Ruby Red color, lots of blackberry and cherry. Very Smooth, no need to decant, drink now!!

    Enjoyed with Grilled Lamb.

December 21, 2013 - She stood this 750ml for days. Dumped into decanter and served. May have been a mistake to decant this, it seems a touch on its decline so didn't need the extra air. Typical Napa Cab experience. Dry, dusty nose of cocoa and dark fruit. Palate unremarkable. Good enough but just not my desired cup of tea. And further, wow, this costs THAT much?! Oy, no thank you
