Community Tasting Notes 9

October 20, 2020 - Think this might be getting better now with a little age. It’s light, bright and really interesting with crunchy dry tannins. Roses, green olives, floral notes and flavours with sweet red berry fruit.

November 3, 2019 - Wasn’t quite as alive as I recall, still had rich rose petal, smokiness, spice and cranberry flavours. Grippy tannins pull it along, length is pretty good but overall this bottle was just a little one dimensional and didn’t quite excite as I had hoped. Hopefully more for the future as have a couple more to go.

March 4, 2018 - I just had a single bottle of this bought a couple of years ago so thought I would try it now despite it's youth to see if it's worth buying any more. Drunk over three nights with the last couple of glasses on day 3 being the best. Delicious balance of red fruit, alcohol and acidity. Not quite as floral as a Barolo / Barbaresco but a fine wine nonetheless. Will only get better with time this. Better try and find some more and would be very interested to see how older bottles fare.

December 12, 2016 - This is fantastic Nebbiolo, light on its feet with spicy fruit and fine grained tannins. Has a really beautiful Pinot type feel about it, perfectly balanced. Best Australian neb I have seen and will age an absolute treat.

November 21, 2015 - Light red garnet. Red fruited, alpine scents like pine needle, musky but fresh. Great balance - tannins present but not too prominent, refreshing acidity and good amount of fruit. Reminds me of a good Upper Yarra Pinot (Wanderer) more than a Barolo or Barbaresco but that's a good thing in my eyes. This is a really good wine and I would definitely buy again.
