Community Tasting Notes 9

December 3, 2021 - medium to full body, smooth tannins, and acidity with notes of cherry, oak, vanilla. I am increasing my rating as begun to appreciate more what it offers. I was under the impression it is a Bordeaux blend with cabernet sauvignon accounting for 60-80% etc. But this has about half of cabernet 54% and the remaining half divided between merlot 20%, cabernet franc 16% and Sangiovese 10%, which gives its unique character and a very enjoyable length. It is holding well it seems.

November 1, 2020 - Dark ruby in colour with aromas of sweet black fruit, herbal/vegetal notes & oak. On the palate, tart black fruit, cassis, blackberry, cherry, well integrated oak, high acidity & medium soft tannins. There is a long fruit finish, & this wine has balance & medium complexity. Definitely longer cellar potential. Sad this is my last bottle.

September 11, 2020 - Light to medium body with smooth tannins. Decreased fruit with Cherry, with some earthy-mineral character with palpable acidity. Focused with minimal follow-through. May have been past its prime as drinking in 2020 sep. a 2012 vintage.

July 19, 2018 - Medium structure, dark red fruit, ready to drink.
    Not full bodied, but smooth.
The 10% Sangiovese added to the Cab/Merlot/Cab Franc gives the profile a delicious fruitiness, but not a fruit bomb. Well balanced.

July 19, 2016 - Wonderful blend that never disappoints! Love the Sangiovese in this. Medium bodied red that goes with almost everything.
