August 16, 2021 - Bright red fruit, sour cherries, smoke, a hint of leather, and blood orange notes on the beautiful nose. Nice acidity with quite light body, but still tons of flavors of red cherries, pomegranate, and red berries. Nice finish. This wine has aged really well and I’m liking this bottle the best so far after drinking one for every two years or so since release.

April 17, 2019 - Slightly cloudy mid garnet color.
High toned, pretty and floral nose of violets, sweet dew, and a hint of brown spice.
The prettiness carries through to the very red fruited (strawberries, red cherries) palate. Nice balance between fruit and acid, with good palate presence despite the low alcohol (10.7%). Finishes a touch metallic/medicinal.
Lovely beaujolais. -

February 3, 2019 - From magnum. The nose is like a good Burgundy. Red berries mixed with savory notes of flowers and meat. Great balance on the palate with notes of candied cherries and tart cranberries. Good finish. Benchmark natural Beaujolais.

May 10, 2018 - Red fruited, yeasty and I agree with most other reviews on the sans-soufre note. A light red with some funky, interesting notes. A tad more extract would've taken it over the notch. I think this will mellow down even more with time. It may be time to drink up.

August 1, 2017 - Mature nose, very vin nature. Flowers, undergrowth, herbs, rusty iron, metal, transparent cherries and more. Everything in a funky, dusty and cloudy overall impression. I thought last bottle of LGR was fragile and past its peak, this bottle shows better and drinks well, really enjoyable and so easy to drink. Still good acidity left, not as vibrant as after release but enough to create a balanced energy in the wine. Super fine and soft tannins. I especially like the multi layered nose with both freshness and maturity, and that funky characteristics these wines often possess. Holds during the night and even survives a night in the fridge.
