April 21, 2024 - Decanted for an hour and over the course of drinking. Medium to full body. This wine has definitely evolved. Quite different from my last two bottles. Tangy red and dark fruit with a hint of menthol. The finish is smooth with silky integrated tannins. No chalky finish. Even though the finish is more balanced, the wine in general was not. A bit to much acidity and alcohol with a less pronounced fruit profile. Hence the lower score from my previous bottles. This was probably at its peak 3-5 years ago. Drink up.

January 12, 2024 - I agree with MATAGE notes. Fully matured. Smooth. Polished tannins. Tobacco, peppery notes, cherries. Probably at peak.

May 28, 2023 - Brambleberry, cherry, cassis and cedar with some tobacco and green herbs. Fully mature so very polished/smooth tannins.
A slightly unexpected peppery note in the finish.
Quite pleasant! Probably at peak or on a slight decline.
    Glass: Riedel Veritas Merlot

November 25, 2022 - Cigar box/cedar and light brambles on the nose. Well integrated lighter dark fruit. Tannins are still solid and structure is present but fading. Needed 30 minutes in the decanter. At its prime or slightly past but defiantly has staying power for a few more good years.
