May 9, 2024 - Super fresh, not ripe, quite mineral, even with some light sesame. Old school and very enjoyable. 93

November 10, 2019 - Kristin and Colin's 30th (Chicago, IL): Sometimes I wish premox never happened and we could still have these old-style, thickly textured, unctuous white Burgundies, that you read about all the time in the old books when they talk about the fatness of sites like Corton-Charlemagne. This is exactly that; golden fruit and some tart acids but this overwhelming richness that just fills the palate. Almost a little oily but not unpleasantly so.

April 27, 2019 - From a virtually perfect bottle, this wine had a medium yellow center and clear rims. After 4 hours of air, the medium intensity nose put forth pears, egg nog, and white stone.

This was pretty good from the start but certain improved after several hours of air. It was gorgeously balanced, had solid acidity, and very good length.

My guess is that this wine was filtered. One can only guess how great it would have been without filtration. Despite this, this bottle would have showed well over the next 10 years, if I had not consumed it now.

April 13, 2019 - From a perfect bottle, this wine had a deep yellow center and clear rims. The medium intensity nose displayed butterscotch, lemon, and white stone.

In the mouth, this wine was ripe with firm acidity and good length.

While this wine was not particularly complex, it was fun to drink. It should easily last another 5 years and maybe 10.

June 4, 2010 - Sampled 3/28/10. A mouthful! Dark yellow with age but not too far past peak. Apricot, beeswax, butterscotch, toffee, citrus, Oak. It's all here but definitely on its downhill side. The wine faded a bit after 30 minutes. Drink now. It's great and won't get better.
