Community Tasting Notes 7

January 28, 2018 - Dark garnet with a fine bricked rim, tertiary notes dominate now with a medium intensity, leather and tobacco with a little spice and vanilla. Medium acidity and alcohol, tannins well integrated now, the flavour profile matches to the aromas with a little added black pepper leading to a medium finish. Drinking well now, nothing left to evolve so holding further seems pointless.

April 9, 2016 - Elegant, medium bodied, balances, great wine. You can find better for the money though

November 19, 2015 - Nice bouquet. A bit thin in body. Not worth the price.

August 21, 2015 - Beautiful purple with a red hue. Opaque with firm legs/tears that suggest body. Bouquet is deep red fruits laced with earth, leather and tobacco. Palate picks up all the elements in the bouquet. Deep Cherry. Tobacco, leather. Earth and a bit of spice. Not spice peppery but maybe bell pepper. More cumin on the spice but not. Wine is well balanced flowing fruit to earth and spice. Finish lingers on the back palate forever. Moderately warm. This wine is not overly complicated and a great QPR IMHO.

    8/9/8/8/9 - 42/92

March 8, 2015 - Fairly simple, but enjoyable nonetheless. Lots of blackberry and loads of pepper. Didn't take notes at the time of consumption, so can't provide more details.

1 - 5 of 7 More notes
