  August 31, 2016 - Had this last night with New England boil. Initially upon opening the bottle, the wine had a funky smell and taste. Since it was 5 years old, I thought it might be over the hill. Luckily, though this was about an hour before dinner. By the time we ate, the wine had opened up and was really wonderful. All that funkyness was gone and the nose and finish were bright and long. We really enjoyed it. Initially the wine was about a 70. An hour later it was a 94.

  July 2, 2016 - Huge red fruit on the nose initially, but taste doesn't match...a lot lighter than expected. Consistent and balanced after that.

  April 14, 2016 - Fruit and oaky spice driven nose, with cherry, plum, baking spice, and cedar notes. Medium bodied and extracted, but fairly balanced.
