  February 23, 2017 - The group liked this far more than I did. On point for a Rioja, but this seemed tired and old to me. There is also some barnyard, which I don't mind, but I found the fruit lacking to offset it. Flat, cloudy and purple in color. The nose to me is dusty with slight barnyard. A bit of cherries. On the palate, this tastes old and tired. Some dark cherries but mostly dried. Finishes with barnyard. I listened as the others loved this wine and we were not close on it. Its ok and certainly I would drink it, but that's about it.

  January 25, 2015 - Decanted 90 minutes and double aerated. Berries, Fig jam, dry medium to full body. Mild sweetness on the finish. Honey, cloves on the palate. Beautiful brick red color and great legs. Velvety on the tongue. Tannins are smooth and well balanced. Wine continued to evolve in the glass. Drank over 90 minutes and this wine kept giving more and more. Beautiful wine.
