July 13, 2023 - Drinking in a very nice spot at the moment. The guests at my dinner table were not accustomed to drinking white wine with age, so they were initially expecting more freshness, but they all became hooked after their 2nd sip and the bottle was the first to go at the dinner. The wine will continue to hold a few more years and may improve slightly, but for my palate it was ready to enjoy.

June 21, 2022 - This is very lovely with a rich nose, almost tropical fruit and buttery oak. A delicious nutty note to the nose too. Then some dried fruit like apricot on the palette, still nice acidity and buttery oak as you exhale. Cuts out a little suddenly on the finish perhaps due to age.

February 12, 2022 - First experience with Puligny-Montrachet. This was good, but not that complex. Fresh, flavors of citrus and hints of vanilla and butter. Enjoyable wine.

January 2, 2021 - Sixth time from magnum and this last one was showing its age but in general all six magnums were lovely and a very pure expression of what I expect a Puligny Montrachet to be. Wonderful hazlenuts, butterscotch, full and grassy, good citrus notes. Good acidity, very well balanced.

February 15, 2020 - Another strong showing, maybe a bit more of the changes from about a year ago, at least in this bottle the acid edge was a bit more pronounced, but the fullness and length of the citrus and fruit were still compelling. Good length and body.
Wonderful companion to lobster/wild mushroom risotto, perfect balance.
