  December 29, 2020 - Light garnet and purple. Classic Pinot nose of dry cherry and spice. Palate is tart cherry and spice. Moderate to light acid and fine tannins. Probably passed due but very drinkable. Opened one hour prior.

  June 23, 2017 - A distinctive wine true to its Central Otago heritage - has that dry, dusty character I associate with many Pinots from this region, with a nicely dispersed acid throughout. It's a particular take on fruit - more an integrated character than the more concentrated or fruit-led expressions from many in California. A lovely bit of New Zealand in a glass!

  Much more red berry/Cherry to the nose than any of the previous wines. Gets into some boysenberry though there is suggestion of some whole cluster. 25& Whole Cluster per Jacqui Murphy.

  February 7, 2016 - Nice bottle. Expected a bit richer/fuller wine since 2012 was a really low yielding year in Central Otago. On open pretty thin nose of strawberry, raspberry, anise, pine. Would not have bought it again if that's where it ended. Drank half a bottle over 2 hours and it has really opened up. Same nose just bigger. Drinking it - it is following the nose. It does taste a bit young, acid is pretty prominent but it is calming down after 2 hours. Alcohol very well integrated. In a blind set up I could have believed it was a low end Burgundy Premier Cru..with a bit less character. A bit too pure and clean, maybe will give up a bit more with time. I would let it rest for a bit or at least give it a 2 hour decant. Day 2 after 2 hours in the glass I would bump it up a point or two. Still a bit acidic. Anise more pronounced.
  SORRY THIS WINE WAS ACTUALLY A 2013 Two Paddocks Pinot Noir First Paddock Single Vineyard.
