June 6, 2020 - The wine looks garnet colored. No oxidation. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, red currant, black currant (cassis), mushroom, violet and black pepper. It tastes like black currant (cassis), cherry, plum and forest floor. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.
At 9 years old still quite youthful and could cellar for longer.

October 17, 2015 - glengarry pinot tasting; 10/16/2015-10/18/2015 (glengarry thorndon): lots of savoury and tertiary notes

December 28, 2014 - A very good wine - almost crazily lively and energetic, especially more than three years in (late December '14). On the tart and acidic side - more than my palate ultimately prefers, and maybe just a touch out of balance. But it's the real deal - superb fruit, expressed distinctively in good hands.
