May 23, 2020 - Sumptuous purple. Nose curious, has almost some toasted buttered popcorn, a little funky though still bright, not overwhelming - kind of wild and definitely unexpected. Entry is not as eccentric as the nose. Brighter red fruit like a raspberry. Thinner than the 07 but perhaps a bit brighter. More oak and spice (cinnamon?). Dusty tannins for a bolder finish - keep it down for a few more though certainly drinkable now with some salt and fat.

October 20, 2018 - This is a great drinking wine. Aromas and flavors of dark fruit. Blackberry and blueberry, with a hint of black currant. Finely integrated tannins, great structure and velvety mouthfeel. Terrific.
