May 16, 2015 - A quite nice surprise as we didn't expect much from this and ended up being a very nice experience. On the simple side but very nice still. The wine is unpretentious and un-adulterated. Def has seen some oak in its elevage but it carries it well and the restrain on the oak helps the wine stay expressive ( we wish other Spaniards would follow the same path. We are scarred by over-oaked Spanish wines). Good fresh red fruit, good acidity, the tannin is vibrant but not harsh and there is beauty in the relative forward-ness of the wine. An 89 from us but a good 89 and wouldn't hesitate to order it again.
