  January 25, 2021 - Opened on a Monday to have with short ribs were meant to be eaten last night, at least its a pandemic! Medium dark in colour, Light currant and plum fruit on the nose, juicy with strong plum acidity and nice light currant fruit. Medium tannins. Very elegant, pretty drinkable right on opening, will be interested to see how it fleshes out overnight. Clearly not a long-term ager, but this is very nice.

  January 22, 2021 - Not particularly complex but decent cedar nose and balanced palate – no off-putting vegetal notes or the like. A pleasant cabernet that my wife and I enjoyed very much with our covid carryout dinner at home. I bought a couple bottles out of curiosity to see "how bad" the 2013 BDX vintage really was, and what a pleasant surprise. We much preferred this to the 2013 Napa cab we had the other night, which was hot and heavy in comparison (and that was a great vintage there).

  May 22, 2019 - Out of the bottle, "les Cabernets" was sour and green, no more than 88pts. After two hours of air those notes receded and flavors of red currant, leather and minerals came forward, almost like a totally different wine, 91pts. It may not have the stuffing for decades in the cellar, but I think it will continue to improve for 3-5 years. QPR rather low.
