Fleshy red and black fruit, a touch herbal, stalky notes adding freshness, some iron-y notes, hearty, layered, depth, sour cherry, red currant, “fresh” raisin notes, fine oak frame
Palate with higher-than-expected acidity, 13%, fresher than Le Clos tasted before, sour cherry, stalky freshness, med body, smooth tannins, some blue fruit hues, med finish

December 13, 2023 - The wine is clear, with deep ruby color, slightly more garnet towards the rims, and thick legs.

On the nose the wine is clean, with medium plus primary aroma intensity of red fruits, red cherries, purple fruits, floral notes, hints of purple flower blossom, along with medium secondary aroma intensity of oak spices, and coconut.

On the palate the wine is dry, with medium plus acidity, medium ripe tannins, medium plus alcohol, medium plus body, medium plus primary flavor intensity of ripe red fruits, strawberry jam, plums, along with medium secondary flavor intensity of oak spices, and hints of meat.
    Finish is long.

The wine is of a very good quality, as it is showing great balance between acidity, fruit concentration, and displaying complexity due to multiple layers of both primary & secondary components.

The wine was expressive enough at time of tasting, however definitely having with its potential to bring to front more tertiary aromas & flavors with more bottle aging.

August 13, 2023 - Ruby with some light through. Nose of fruit and spice. Very classy (not in your face), balanced. Medium tannin, less acidity. Drinks well day two. I might hold this a few more years if I had another. Benchmark crozes.

March 21, 2023 - Not much of a progress since tasting in 2020. Cassis, blueberry, cool mineral character with touch of funky meat, smoke and lead pencil. Fresh mouth with big structure and lively acidity. I'm more and more convinced I will like 13' when they will be fully mature. In this bottle case, it looks like it will be no earlier then in 5-10 years time for initial maturity.
