November 14, 2023 - negociant wine. Opened for 1 hour, the overall experience was great. Wonderful nose, lots of red berries, rose, red fruits, everlasting with complex structure. The wine consistently evolved during the 2 hours. Very nice on the palate, fruits with hints of oak. However, the finishing was a bit weak for this 2013. Amazing wine with probably one of most difficult vintage. Very remarkable and enjoyable.

January 21, 2023 - Turned more austere than last time (about 6 years ago), tuned down aroma and very linear on the palate with a little bitterness.
    Disappointed.

April 3, 2017 - #4 of my tasting pack, 2013 Jean Marie Fourrier Echezeaux. Dark ruby in color. Raspberry, leather, wet stony mineralogy and sea breeze on the nose. On the palate its firm tannin hidden behind striking acidity, evident ripe pepper. Considerably more depth than those two volnays I tasted earlier. A remarkable echezeaux especially considering this is the negociant wine of Fourrier. #winetastingnotes #burgundy #fourrier #winetasting —

November 22, 2016 - Closed. Very dry and reserved. The acidity stands out because of the lack of fruit.

April 1, 2016 - Domaine Fourrier Wine Dinner with Jean-Marie Fourrier (Nomi, Chicago): This is a negoc wine but David Ben Yair notes that is is from an outstanding parcel in Echezaux. The wine shows bakes fruit and spice on the palate. Stylistically, you can tell it is Fourrier based on the velvety mouth feel and fruit purity. This is a nice wine and showed good balance and openness for a 2013.

October 28, 2014 - A 2013 Barrel Tasting at Domaine Fourrier (Gevrey-Chambertin, Côte de Nuits, Burgundy): Vicki concluded by showing us a negoce wine. Deep red. A different nose to the other wines: more spice, earth, musk and compote de fruits. Big fruit. Real fruit weight and power, with more obvious, puckering tannins. A lot of structure, with good acids and earthy, spicy flavours. No doubt a very good wine, but we preferred the non-negoce wines.
