January 12, 2015 - A great wine with osso bucco. A good amount of tannic structure to balance out the fat, with a fruity mid palate and cleansing acidity. The fruits were in the red spectrum. Had a glass the following night with lasagna; the tannin had subsided overnight, and L'Albarossa was a fine match with it too. I can easily see coming back to this wine again and again. Better than an everyday drinker, and priced too high for that purpose, it doesn't require a special occasion -- just needs a good meal with the family.
