  October 9, 2023 - - Garnet color with slow forming legs and aromas of black currant, blackberry, cherry and fig. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry, black pepper, fig and blackberry with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a long finish.

Round texture with a long finish - Decanted two hours. The wine is tight and potent when opened. It needs time and air. Smoked meat on the nose. Cellar longer, the wine can still age.

  November 14, 2016 - On opening the nose is relatively simple but powerful, dark fruits and forest floor come to mind. The initial palate is maraschino cherry, vanilla, cassis, with some mocha after a few seconds. After a few hours the nose becomes milder with more oak present, dried dates and figs show up on the palate. Lovely wine, served with braised pork shoulder. 40% Syrah, 27% Cab Franc, 20% Zinfandel, 13% Petit Verdot. 180 cases made
