October 15, 2009 - Brick red with a brownish rim. Fresh, but mature nose. Muted fruits on the nose but what is there shows raspberry. More on the earthy side with leather and a floral element. Very pleasant. Medium to full bodied. Great balance in the mouth. Silky and smooth, the tannins are well-integrated. The earthiness repeats and a little smoke. Soft finish. It's long though and improves as it goes. Makes you want to go back for another sip.

September 18, 2009 - Popped and poured, no formal notes. Similar to last TN from 03/07/09, while the nose is nice, this Rioja has an unpleasant over-ripened quality to the fruit flavors on the palate. Not flawed in any way, just a bit too ripe with a touch of sweetness.
