October 23, 2019 - Yes, this is one of those great chardonnays that you may never wish to put down. Let’s just lay it all out there for you: Deep golden color, nutmeg aroma, a touch of oak spice and buttery notes, plus, rich in caramel, citrus, and apple flavors. Want more? Well, we just might have to open a few more bottles over the next few years and add more tantalizing words! Did we mention anything about the great acids, mature balance, and that “aaahhhhhhhh” clean finish? Well, it is all there in this lovely white wine. This is a beautiful chardonnay that is perfect for sipping on its own or pairing with a favorite meal. Cheers, cheers, and more cheers!

December 3, 2016 - Nice, nice wine. Had two bottles, the first of which drank quite a bit more "butterscotchy" than this one did. This wine was still quite full malolactic, but for some reason (or perhaps it was the awesome, awesome food that it was enjoyed with), this wine went very well with the hummus and Greek appetizer. Lots of honeysuckle and a buttery beginning, this one actually knew its place and kind of softened, and bent around the food instead of the opposite. The last bottle perhaps was a little more harsh. This wine seems to have the longevity to last another 10 years perhaps. Seemed to have quite a bit of complexity and depth, although for those who like their chards on the youthful side, this one needs to be consumed between now and next year.

October 14, 2016 - Served PNP. This wine had the aroma of butterscotch and a hint of kiwi and some lemon. The wine was butter from the start to finish. Good spice and acidity in the middle and on the finish, and perhaps a touch sweet. There might have been some kiwi or mango in there. There might have been some herbal notes like taragon. There might have been a hint of lemon tart on the finish. I'm PRETTY SURE I got these notes. Not sure, because the butter crushed it all. I understood going into it that this was going to be like this, but it just seemed out of balance to me. Still enjoyable, but didn't go particularly well with the Asian food we were enjoying it with.
