June 17, 2020 - TO T̶u̶e̶s̶d̶a̶y Wednesday Night Zoom Tasting (Vancouver, BC): Tested blind next to the 1997 Dominique Laurent Charmes-Chambertin Cuvée Spéciale. Showing older and more rustic on the nose, with dark fruit, tar, and rust. More youthful on the palate yet still in a similar profile, with a touch of mint and plenty of acidity. Shows very 1995, slightly rustic and a bit tough around the edges. Delicious yet didn't show the charm and freshness of the 1997 Charmes-Chambertin tasted along side.
