March 31, 2017 - Don't drink much merlot anymore but this one makes me take a second look. Great everyday wine. Easy drinking. Smooth and juicy.

February 22, 2017 - As noted by others - "a big boy Merlot that drinks like a Cab" - what a great comment. Get past the strong initial wave of alcohol and let it open up a bit. You will be rewarded with deep and rich berry flavors, jammy texture, and smooth finish. I'm grateful to have this distinctive and enjoyable wine.

December 7, 2016 - Deep garnet colour. The nose shows pronounced intensity aromas of Christmas cake, ripe dark cherries, ripe plums and hints of vanilla, cinnamon, tobacco, cedar and green bell pepper.
It is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has medium+ supple tannins and a high alcohol. It is full-bodied with pronounced intensity flavours. The finish is long.
It is and outstanding quality wine. It shows lots and lots of complexity provided by oak ageing, and it has started to show a bit of tertiary aromas as well. The finish is very persistent and its juicy fruit concentration balances the alcohol and the tannins.
