September 18, 2022 - Perfect cork. Mineral nose. Sweet fruits (almost too sweet) with a licorice taste. Sadly, our last KK. Thank you Kathryn!

November 26, 2020 - Still very big, fruit forward, tannins still going on. Very nice, could maybe mellow a just little more.

April 18, 2015 - Tasted at the annual MacArthur Beverages California Tasting in Washington, DC. The wine was utterly amazing and by far the best 2011 red California wine that I have tried. The nose smelled just like a good classified left bank Bordeaux with gravel, earth and red fruits. The palate was very smooth with a perfect balance between fruit, tannin and acidity. No green or vegetal flavors whatsoever. In fact, the wine was still young with the silky cassis and blackberry fruit dominating the core of the wine. Truly outstanding stuff. This wine could easily take down quite a few left Bank Bordeaux. If you like big powerful fruit driven California Cabernet, this wine might not be for you. However, if you like Bordeaux, give this wine a try, you won't be sorry. As an aside, I also tried the 2005, it too was excellent and tasted like a well aged Pauillac.

November 8, 2014 - Premier Cruz Grand Tasting (Toll House, Los Gatos): dark red, in color. blackberry, black cherry, floral, earth, spice, pepper, on the nose. high acid, medium tannins, on the finish.
