August 29, 2016 - Nose of rugged leather, burnt candle wick, and a whiff of potpourri. Lots of alcohol (14.5% declared); though very well hidden. 30 minutes in and the tannins are starting to show; velvety and long. An hour thirty, its yielding some fruit. This needs a couple more years to knit together, but this bodes well.
