January 3, 2023 - This probably would have been better younger. The bottle may have been slightly corked as it had some off flavors. We drank it as the second wine with a 2001 Joseph Phelps Backus as the lead wine. While it was sort of nice to have the richer fruit flavors of the younger and less refined Amici, it was not in the same class.

October 14, 2018 - Using the Cellar Tracker rating scale:

This definitely fell into the range of excellent (91-93):
    >100% varietally correct for Napa Cab, bell pepper, touch of licorice, etc-blindfolded, you could tell immediately this was a Napa Cab. Kudos!
    >Everything was well-balanced and integrated- not an alcohol or fruit bomb-though a bit fruit-forward and was not lacking in any dimension.

This is drinking quite well now, but we did let it breathe for about four hours, so probably not a pop and pour, need air. Probably good through early 2020.
Great Quality to Price Ratio (QPR), much more reasonably-priced than big name brands that would struggle to measure up to this.
    Highly recommend

January 3, 2018 - The ascent of wine: Tasted soon after opening, silky swallow, but skinny mouthfeel and strong delineation of vanilla. Still enjoyable, but was expecting . . . more. Sealed under manual vacuum for four days, half volume. (Forgot about it. Work gets in the way sometimes.) Incredible emergence from cocoon. A distinct and remarkably different beast. Horse of a different colour. Give this beauty some time in the paddock before answering the bell.

January 10, 2017 - This is a reasonably good wine. Some fruits. Not overwhelming though. Had over two nights. Held via vacuvin overnight. Better the second night (but not bad on the first).
