October 1, 2022 - Tasted after the Troplong Mondot 2005 which is not exactly the most obvious line up but it worked out that way. Interesting to taste two very typical grape representations next to each other, the merlot dominated Bordeaux blend versus the Pinot Noir Bachelet. As much as the Troplong is a really great wine, the Corbeaux envelopes one with the sheer love so typical for Pinot. It is comparing the bushy garden of a Bordeaux chateau with a poppies meadow in Burgundy. A gregarious young man versus a fairy-like dancing girl. The line up was unplanned, but a truly nice coincidence.

August 13, 2022 - Very appealing and satisfying all around, punctuated by violets and purple fruit sometimes found in Gevrey. Acidity on the higher side, not especially full but energetic in the mouth and finishes very long with complex dusty earth notes. I agree with the comment that the vintage suits the bachelet style. Just excellent.

January 3, 2022 - What a lovely wine this is. Frankly I did not expect this the least, so my score may reflect the surprise a bit. But for sure I wish I had more than a couple of bottles of this wine. This is so pinot noir, including the seductive ultimate burgundy aromas, intense on the initial attack, lovely ever after like a creek in the hills with violets and other spring flowers. This is truly delicious!

October 16, 2019 - Absolutely gorgeous and wide open. Nose showed minerals, violets, spice and purple fruit. Palate was very expressive with ethereal purple fruit. Very delicate. This vintage suits Bachelet’s style and the Gevrey terroir very well. 92-93
