September 22, 2013 - Rounding into form with bright blue/red grenache flavors, full body and a restrained power. Quality wine but lacking complexity to push it to the next level.

August 6, 2010 - Nose of vanilla, ripe black fruit... in the mouth, very nice acidity, ripe red fruit and nice minerality

April 30, 2010 - Opened, decanted for 1 hour. Deep ruby-purple to the edge with a rich blueberry nose, earthy notes. This is a big mouth-filling wine, smooth well integrated tannins, complex at first and continued to evolve over 2 hours showing blueberries, blackberries, an earthy mineral note, hints of cherry and a long almost silky finish.

Not the classic Priorat i expected given the ties to Clos Erasmus - this is a very modern style Priorat and i enjoyed it very much (with grilled lamb). The future of Priorat? I hope not, but a wine and style that is a great addition to one of my favorite regions and wonderfully new for Spanish winemaking. Now on my buy list for every vintage.

March 31, 2010 - Dinner at Suze with Harry K (Suze Restaurant, Dallas): Blind Red 2 - Translucent dark ruby in the glass. Reticent nose of wax, smoky earth and a rubbery tar quality. Sweet-tart attack of red fruit. Medium bodied with red fruit. A bit vague. I was guessing a Priorat with some age on it - say a 98 or an 01. 15% ABV. Pretty good, but didn't really wow me.

December 11, 2008 - decanted. i figured i'd hate this, too, but...no. i actually liked this wine. strong willed for sure, but solid balance despite that bulky structure. 15% alcohol. fun wine.
