October 20, 2022 - Purchased for $35. Wow. I mean WOW. This could be the best 10-Year I've had. Definitely Top 2. This is cloudy burnt orange in color. Not quite tawny in color. Deliciously fragrant nose of honey and stone fruit. Absolutely mesmerizing and unctuous notes of honey, orange peel, honeysuckle, apricot and stone fruit. Just tons of sweet honey and apricot. Amazing mouth feel with incredibly juicy acidity. The finish goes on and on. Wow. Stunning. Grade: A

March 30, 2022 - Purchased for $35. Served in a Riedel Vinum Port glass. Beautiful clear dark amber color. Hold this up to the sunlight and be amazed at the gorgeous color. Not giving too much on the nose... hints of apricot, hazelnut and a hint of that tawny funk. But on the palate, HOLY COW, outstanding complexity. Absolutely delicious notes of sweet fig, hazelnut, almond, date, butterscotch and caramel. Wow, this is unctuous and sweet. The finish is full and long. This is downright outstanding. One of the best 10-Year Tawnies I've had. Possibly Top 2. BRAVO!!! Grade: A/A+

December 27, 2019 - Bottled in 2018. Am still exploring port, and got this as a gift. Both nose and attack seem fairly diluted and watery here, opens up nicely on the mid palate though, good complexity, not too sweet, the finish however again fades rather quickly.
Overall pleasant as I am not a fan of very sweet or oxidative styles, but lacks concentration and persistence of a great port IMHO.

(NV Quinta do Portal 10 Year Old Tawny Port) Portal’s Tawny Ports always deliver, and this 10 Year Old is no exception—a tasty little number, and definitely one of my top Ports in this category. Light maple in color with a tawny meniscus, it features fragrant scents of almonds, dates, and vanilla bean. Delicate, but with enough weight to be taken seriously. The impressive fig-and-walnut profile is enhanced by elaborate acidity and a silky texture. This tawny is sophisticated, seamless, and seductive, with a lingering praline nuance on the finish. (NV Quinta do Portal Porto 10 Year Old Tawny) The Quinta do Portal tawnies always deliver, and this 10-year-old is no exception. Light maple with a tawny meniscus, it features fragrant scents of almonds, dates, and vanilla bean. Delicate, but with enough weight to be taken seriously. I find the pronounced fig-and-walnut profile is made even more impressive by the elaborate acidity and silky texture. Sophisticated, seamless, and seductive, with a lingering praline nuance on the finish. Portal is quickly gaining recognition in the press, at international competitions, and among serious Port enthusiasts. Fit to Be Fortified
