June 23, 2021 - Corton Rouge Burgs on a Summer Night (Martina, Mpls): Medium red color. PNP, drank a glass over an hour. A bit more rustic on the palate, light-medium bodied, sous bois, smokey, roasted meat and dried cherry fruits. Holding up, but probably best to drink these.

February 13, 2017 - I think I need to make a rule—at least for me: when it is late at night and between two of you, you are already a solid five bottles in, that is not the time to grab a 23 year-old Grand Cru Burgundy. Just a thought.I really do not have any recollection on how this wine tasted upon opening, but the following morning, when I noticed the cork floating in the remaining 3/5 of a bottle, I realized I was not at the top of my game at that point the previous evening. Today, though, this wine is doing just fine—even better than that. Light in color, but strong notes of black cherry, leather, and even anise. On the palate, lovely acidity, delicate fruit, and plenty of earth. This is not a full-throttle Pinot by any means, but I am thankful that I had enough wherewithal to stopper this up and put it in the fridge. At least I think that was me…. thedrunkencyclist.com

November 13, 2013 - We drank this right after a 1986 Jaffelin Clos Vougeot and I was worried that it might not hold its own. Well, I was wrong. While certainly not as complex as the Jaffelin, this certainly won the balance and finesse battle. Perfectly harmonious from first sip to last swallow, this was one of the more complete Cortons I have had. Outstanding. thedrunkencyclist.com

May 22, 2009 - Popped and poured. Light in color with some browning of the edges. On the nose, some barnyard and sour cherry. On the palate, little fruit other than the cherry, but a great mouthfeel with tannins integrated. Medium finish.
