December 6, 2012 - Absolutely gorgeous in color - beautiful red which was totally unexpected ten years after vintage. Nose - plums, chocolate, allspice, touch of cherry. Great legs. Flavor reflected the nose. Outstanding - can't believe I only paid twenty bucks for it. It's that good. One more thing - the fruit was still there and I expected it to be muted. It wasn't. As always, YMMV.

November 9, 2011 - Nice but not spectacular merlot. Limited nose, fruit was average. After the wine opened it improved.

November 1, 2011 - Smooth with good fruit. Either at its peak or just past. This is a ncie wine that my wife and I enjoyed.

November 29, 2010 - What can I say? Merlot is nice but nothing to write home about at this price. High alcohol, juicy, fruity- not too much structure, tannin or balance for the price. I expected much more.

November 6, 2010 - Vinturi decanted, served over 2 nights. Bright aromas of perfumed flowers, potpourri, and toasty oak lead the way to a full-bodied example, but well detailed example of the varietal, with plums and a touch soy sauce leading the way. The tannins are still formidable at this point, but thankfully there is enough acidity and depth of fruit as well that will see this age gracefully for another decade. Best on night 2, the elegance really comes to the fore. Not overripe thankfully, instead, it's smartly proportioned and quite polished. Drink thru 2018.
