November 22, 2014 - I missed out on the Thursday release date party due to working late, but our friends at Total Wine had the good sense to pour us a taste during their Saturday afternoon tasting. Am not familiar with this producers Nouveau Beaujolais and believe this is only the fourth different producer I have ever tasted. This one is easily the deepest, darkest purple Nouveau. Though not by design rich, this wine has a pretty serious mouth feel for a Nouveau. The fruit is very dark cherry backed up with blueberry and mulberry. Of course very soft and approachable. Not very acidic. A touch grainy on the finish, but it is only 7 or 8 weeks old.
