March 11, 2009 - A floral nose of ripe red and black cherry, and subtle earth undertones. This is remarkably balanced and sleek, elegant. A focused red fruit profile that has better than average length, and is sappy and refreshing on the finish with alternative sweet and sour cherry. Not overwhelming in its complexity, and not a tour de force, but I think it's the best Carneros pinot I have had, and I really love the restraint here. There simply is not the structure here to merit an "outstanding" rating, but this is as close as you can possibly get. 89+

February 23, 2008 - So far, unimpressed with the whites so we'll give the reds a whirl. Nice nose of spicy raspberries, hints of toast, with a slight green herbal edge. The tannins are a bit heavy up front but the palate softens into a slight creamy vanilla, red raspberries, and oak. Finishes with decent acidity and a nice spicy element. Not bad.

February 14, 2008 - Drank w/my Valentine. Wine was ok but not as fruity or robust as others.
