May 23, 2015 - Bought as a library wine sale. It was past its ideal drinking time. We did not finish the bottle.

This wine just never got better...

Love the Sangiovese from Noceto, though!

November 27, 2008 - I won't go as crazy with points this time. The wine was superbly balanced and the flavors were deep and full. The spice ad tannins are in the background. The fruit and maturity stand out. It was a superb accompaniment to Thanksgiving.

July 28, 2008 - No decant. Lighter in body than many zins and the color is not nearly as deep. I like the nose a lot but it's more than just fruit... earth, maybe. There's some heat on the palate but it's not overpowering at all. No tannins that I could detect.... oh there they are now. Nice finish but not too long. Good balance. I know this is a complex wine, but I can't pick out the flavors other tasters have identified. But I'm sure they are there.

It seems to be evolving very nicely with bottle age. Glad I have more as it should be fine for a few more years.

It will be accompanying bbq ribs in an hour or so. It should be wonderful with that, with spice and enough heat to cut through the bbq sauce.
