July 22, 2023 - Peaking. Feminine and balanced.

January 20, 2022 - Light to medium body; one foot in Oregon, the other in Burgundy. Still fresh, great minerality. Certainly opened the first bottle too early, this one was just entering its prime.

November 19, 2021 - From an iconic producer, this winery is always a personal favorite. Decanted and enjoyed with grilled chicken and vegetable skewers. A beautiful, clear medium ruby, medium (-) bodied wine. Highly aromatic and extremely flavorful showing juicy pomegranate, spicy raspberry, cherry compote, ripe strawberry, and cranberry cocktail with iron infused red soil and salty pickle juice lurking below the surface. Well integrated and balanced structure, assuming the fruits hold up, the acidity will carry this wine for another 5-7 years. Can drink now, but this has yet to peak. Drink though 2026.

September 12, 2021 - Opened to share with a friend that enjoys Pinot, and Burgundy specifically. The '14 vintage has structure, and some bottles I've opened from other producers have been very overt - more dense fruit forward styles. I was excited to try the first of a horizontal of single vineyards from Ken Wright I picked up from Garagiste and from other CT notes this one showed promise as the most "ready." Lighter garnet coloring, more transparent in the glass than expected (a good thing). Subtle sour cherry, cherry pit, burnt orange rind type of notes. Developed nicely with air in the glass. Served against charcuterie and hard cheeses. My opinion is it's just at the beginning of a good drinking window. Potential for improvement as the aromatics loosen up with further age.

July 19, 2021 - From memory. PnP with dinner. Dusty rose color. Typical Oregon Pinot body; light. Tart cherries and earthy spice. Really flavorful. Very nice.
