Community Tasting Notes 3

May 16, 2015 - Closer to Jimmy's view than MiB's excepting for that poor score (What's wrong with 86? After all you liked it), I could recognise the typicity for its smokiness and I only paid 3€.
    Unbeatable RQP.
Really effective, uncomplicated PN matching rice with chicken on middle spiced curry sauce.

November 26, 2014 - The wine is clear and bright with a pale ruby colour. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium(+) intensity aromas of red fruits (raspberries, strawberries), black fruits (dark cherries), pungent spices (black pepper, liquorice) and hints of flowers (generic blue flowers). The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has medium(+) coarse tannins and a high alcohol. It has a medium body and medium(+) intensity flavours of red fruits (raspberries, strawberries), black fruits (dark cherries), pungent spices (black pepper, liquorice) and hints of flowers (generic blue flowers). The finish is long.

It is a very good quality wine. It has a lingering finish, and enough fruit concentration well-balanced by the tannins. However a better example should show more complexity. Can drink now, but it has some tannic structure and enough fruit concentration to develop some more complex tertiary aromas overt the next 2-3 years.
