August 2, 2022 - Not very aromatic. On the Nose cranberries, tart cherries, bitters. On the palate super tannic.

November 13, 2020 - Pop. I’ve been working thru a case and this wine is in a great place. Blackish crimson color. Nice nose of bramble dark fruit with a freshness still evident. It coats your mouth with a nice bunch of fruit surrounded by tannins that still have a small bite that is quite nice. I’m glad that I’ve aged this chianti and looking forward to the remaining bottles.

October 25, 2020 - Pop on a Sunday afternoon. Still dark as nice and the smell of cherries is very present. Just really nice in the mouth sweet cherries, bitter cherries, honey, hay and flowers. Nice snap of tannins that balance out the wine nicely. In a great spot.

September 17, 2020 - Opened for fajita dinner but just had to pour a small glass. I have been drinking this wine for several years but put a case away until today. Explosive nose of cherries, baking spices, nutmeg, smoke and fresh cut fruit. Really nice. It’s still absolutely black in the glass. Wow it has totally changed/resolved and is a nice mouthful of cherries and burnt rubber mixed in with sweet fruit. I can’t wait to see how this evolves over the next several hours. As it sits in the glass it really opens up. Wow a really great nose. This is in a great place.

April 7, 2019 - Nice dark purple color. Some leather and rose petal on the nose. By 3rd day was a bit diminished
