August 11, 2017 - Contrary to the drink-by dates, this one's nowhere close to being done. Came out strong with dark cherries/berries and some violets on the pop n pour. Silky and smooth on the finish. There's not a lot of nuance, but it's well-crafted and drinking beautifully to my taste.

May 12, 2013 - Very nice, Similar to wine-strategies notes below. A little fruit forward for an aged pinot even after 8 years. Still pretty primary and young. Getting some earth and cola in the mid-palate with a nice finish. Better after a couple hours open. Still has many years in it.

October 21, 2012 - Nice barnyard-ie nse of dusty red cherry and high toned fruit. Palate conveyed congruent flavors with citrusy acids (wine-strategies nailed this). Finish has mild firm brittle? tannin that suggests longevity. A really nice wine that lacks cola and overbearing round red fruit.

March 24, 2012 - PnP. Medium garnet color, faded transitions to the rim. Fresh aromas of cherry, strawberry and red floral dominate at first. The medium-bodied palate is very fresh, tart even, with a persistent citric tang that adds to the overall character. Handsomely composed, this has several more solid years ahead of it. Prolly best to aerate at this stage for at least 30 minutes, for full effect. More old world than new on this showing. Great poise and persistence. 14,5% abv, score: B+/A-
