March 5, 2023 - Now at 10yrs of age this wine is starting to show its capabilities. Slight vanilla nose, medium red, good acidity, great length. There now is a greater hint of balance between the great fruit flavours of dark fruit and tannins along with a wonderful sweetness that coats the palate. This is going to be a great GC wine over the next 10 yrs. Drinkable now but worth the wait to experience the complexities that await with more time. This improves as you finish the bottle.

December 25, 2021 - Christmas wine - opened and decanted for 3 hours before enjoying at dinner.

I deliberately made the decision to give this a lot of air, given the terroir and my experience of Bruno Clair. I'm glad I did it - I think it paid off given the fact that this is a huge wine.

The nose was not explosive, but still expressive and subtle in giving off an array of different fruits. Very structured and meaty with great acidity and minerality; the tannins were there but not grippy or unpleasurable. Going down very smoothly and was very enjoyable.

I think there's upside to this wine, but I think it is also in a good spot now if you allow it some air. I'd love to revisit this, perhaps in 3+ years to see how it's doing.

May 19, 2021 - Medium red, red cherry, strawberry candy, red jello. Similar in the mouth, plus vanilla, medium weight. Refreshing acid, silky tannin and a little heat on the finish. This is early in its drinking window.

May 12, 2021 - This is very drinkable right now. Improved with each glass. Starts slow but gains weight and flavours as you drink the bottle.Well balanced with great dark fruit flavours. Great acidity. Tannins are moderate.
This is a GC wine and is just starting to show its capabilities. Very enjoyable.
