December 24, 2019 - Unfortunately this bottle was corked. Merry Christmas to us :(

June 11, 2016 - A dense and bombastic wine, showing the sign of the times when this was made. Rich and dense nose of pure black fruit, cassis, concentrated jam with touches of herb, forest and mocha. Quite enjoyable and aromatic. On the palate the wine shows massive extraction making it impossible
to discern terroir. More super fruit, syrupy berry some hidden forest and earth, tobacco etc but not much. Way overpowering for my tastes these days. Curious if the producer has toned down over the past decade.

November 27, 2015 - Very nice nose of cool blue fruit and spices. The palate is full of beef and more spices. Some black pepper. Delicious wine.

January 2, 2014 - A big wine. Needs two+ hours of decant. Nose is not as aromatic as I expected. Smooth, well structured and full flavors like spices and dark fruits. Very nice finish. Not a bit less on the second day.

October 21, 2010 - 2003 California Cabernet Horizontal (Adour @ The St. Regis, Washington D.C.): Decanted for about an hour - very smooth initially, with chocolate notes and smooth tannins. Blackberry fruit is evident in the mididle, with chocolate notes reemerging at the finish. Great mouthfeel and no noticable heat at the finish. This wine is well-integrated and open for business.
