Community Tasting Notes 4

October 4, 2023 - Bottle fill and cork excellent. Young appearing, bright with just a hint of gold. A lovely, age worthy white burg with excellent structure. This bottle was fully ready, but could have been kept longer

November 17, 2014 - The nose reeked of premox upon opening but on the palate the wine was a superstar - light and complex despite the nose and the deep yellow color

Started to die almost immediately and 30 mins later was like sipping straw

Would have rated 95+ based on the first few minutes

April 2, 2012 - It's Monday...Time for Another Burgundy Dinner (Sepia - Chicago IL): Lemon and lemon zest aromas with slight floral notes in the background. Same citrus flavors on palate, long and persistent. Vibrant fruit, this wine came across as fresh and powerful and stayed at the same level for the entire time it was in my glass. This is what older white Burgundy is meant to be.

September 9, 2008 - Mama Méo! (Veritas): Exceptional purity to the lemon/lime flavors here, tasting far younger than its age and so bright and fresh it'd make a serviceable Sprite substitute except that it's also a pretty serious wine, with a chalky crushed-pebble sensation that adds dimension and texture to the otherwise gelatinous, creamy fruit filling.
