October 30, 2022 - Partners' Meeting at Chu Yen.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of meatiness, earth, dark red cherries, hint of fragrant peonies. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red cherries, fresh red plum, jewelly minerally earth, meat and leather. long finish.
Very good quality. In a good drinking zone already. Showcasing the richer meatier side of NSG from the Southern side.

December 1, 2021 - Still tightly wound. Decanted and started to drink. Came alive after about two hours. Dark, spicy fruit, nice line and length. Very good.

May 2, 2021 - The nose is a bit wound up and clearly youthful with tones of orange peels, raspberries, sour red cherries, violets, rose petals, earth notes, licorice, and brown spices. The Medium bodied feel is elegant and youthful with crisp, medium+ acidity and youthful, medium+ tannins. This is really good, but it also needs a bit of time. There is an attractive sour red-fruited core with good depth though it lacks a bit of the classic NSG rusticity.

November 4, 2014 - Quite spicy dark fruits here, a little sap and earth though pretty tightly closed; lovely tannins again on the palate, silky and elegant but has structure and Nuits build. Very good. 90-91+
