October 21, 2022 - Lovely Chenin richness and finesse in this butterfly. Baumards Papillon in the 2011 vintage bursts of spicy yellow fruits like nectarine, apricot, apple and grapefruit. Telltale aromas of lanolin, honey, beezwax, honey, safforon and hints of flint. Rich and spicy yellow stonefruit, strong minerality and balanced acidity on the palate. Complex and powerful, with a long, balanced, mineral driven finish. Elegant power-Chenin, this one.

February 9, 2019 - Clear pale gold; clean medium plus nose of orange, lemon, flint, blossom and kerosene; developing; dry; medium plus acidity; medium alcohol; medium body; medium plus flavor intensity; pfn but with more lemon, orange and toast; medium finish; very good quality; drink now, has potential to age a few more years; Brent detected an unpleasant fishy smell
