December 21, 2010 - Deep, still somewhat purplish. Red caramel, mild leather notes then dark fruit on the rather straightforward nose. Med+ body, lots of cherry-like fruit, slightly dry tannins, a bit hot. Spicy finish, medium aftertaste. Noticeable high alcohol. Couldn't really appreciate this one, though obviously it was of higher class than some of the basic Bierzos I tried before.

October 21, 2006 - WS California Wine Experience Spanish Tasting (San Francisco Marriott): Full opaque deep purple. Medium forward nose of candied black cassis fruit and spice. Big bold black fruit attach. Coffee and tar on the finish with mineral notes.
