March 27, 2019 - This was a treat! Perhaps one of the densest and sultry Pinots I have had. Drinking very well with about thirty seconds of volatility followed by layers upon layers of dark cherry, cloves, leafy things. Maybe something they drink in Middle Earth in a regular basis. Delightful.

December 6, 2017 - Really stinky and terse, upon opening - blew off after some air. Still has a firm, tannic streak running down the middle. Bright red fruit, but somewhat closed.

September 6, 2016 - PnP at gathering for Hans Hammer's family. Couldn't really pay attention. Initially tight and a bit green. Over time, red/black fruits, earth, and a hint of green. Nice texture - depth with some concentration and really nice acids. Good stuff. Wish I could have focused a bit more on this.

August 3, 2016 - Too young and tight. Barely came around on day two but had a nicer balance. Nose never gave me any excitement, and palate remained on the tart side. Willing to concede that I drank this way too young.

March 25, 2016 - Drank this after a '64 Hudelot Musigny Grand Cru so it may have thrown me off just a bit. Nose and palate were tight and closed at first, opening up after 45 minutes. Bright and high toned red fruits, still quite primary. Good acidity and lovely soft tannins. Im holding my next bottle for a while. This one has some promise...
