January 23, 2024 - Tasted after 90 minutes of air. Stewy blackberry fruit. Tang. Nice fruit on the mid palate. Very smooth and persistent. Some dust. Long finish. Excellent.

September 21, 2023 - On the thick side but appropriate for the ripeness of the vintage. Showed well, has plenty of time left.

February 15, 2023 - Smelled of big plummy fruit, sweet purple flowers and sawdust. Tasted of black fruit, strong black coffee and milk chocolate with hints of licorice and garden soil. Fuller side of Medium body, good acid and a nice backbone of ripe tannin.

Really very good wine, drinking about as well as it ever will.

November 3, 2021 - Good and seemingly classic WA state Syrah. Had a cold when tasting it so flavours and nose were muted. No hard edges though!

June 12, 2021 - Much better duo comparison this time. Drank this compared with the 2013 K Vintners Cattle King. A great pairing! I gave them equal scores but very different wines. The Lagniappe had a little more bottle age than the last time I drank it. It is a little more restrained than the K Vintners, but just as complex. No bricking, lovely dark purple, and still in its prime. This will go for several more years. Ripe plum on the nose. Bright wine, clean, medium body. Bright just ripe cherry. Long finish. Just so good to drink. What is up with these Washington Syrahs - great QPR. Just leave them in the bottle a few years to emerge. Lovely wine.
