March 12, 2024 - PnP. ABV 13%. It has been years since I last opened a bottle of this. Wife commented that she could smell the sweet fruits and fragrance from a few meters away. She hardly ever drinks wines but I believe she has a better nose than me. The queen of Corton was showing well tonight. Floral with hints of stem notes, so refreshing. Sweet and smooth on the entry, sweet and softened tannins, reached maturity plateau but should cruise at his level for years to come with its excellent balance. A wonderful Corton from an exceptional vintage. This was just marvelous, I finished the first glass in recorded speed, just couldn’t stop, I wish other Corton producers could make wine like this. WOW.

February 24, 2024 - This wine absolutely rocked. Pop and pour and it was banging out of the gate but, reached its peak after roughly an hour and a half slow ox. A super complex nose of leather, mushroom, strawberries, and smoke. This wine is so bright and this bottle drank much younger than 31 years old. Smooth, well-integrated, long lingering finish. An extremely complex earth dominated nose with a super fruit dominate palate. This was really fun and showed wonderfully.

December 25, 2021 - Lovely on Christmas Day with duck breast and puy lentils...softly engaging, a little texture, mostly tertiary - leather, mushrooms, earth - with a smidge of red berries. Yum.

November 24, 2021 - Smells of pine needle sap, fresh earth and smoked meats. The palate has some flesh and whilst tannins have softened, acidity is still brisk. It really breathes up with air and is right in the zone.

January 9, 2021 - Lamb off! (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Savoury, spiced, woody, earthy, a little pine mushroom, black fruits and a touch of smokiness. Juicy, fleshy, savoury with a black fruit core, black tea, tannins are a emery paper burr on the palate, tertiary notes abound, earth, leather, forest floor but all very much in the supporting role. Lovely.
