December 23, 2023 - A little more ruby than expected but still in the tawny color category.
This one still shows a significant amount of primary fruit. Dried red cherries and crushed raspberry. Moving into the aged aromas of dried figs, prunes, toffee, chocolate, clove, hazelnut, almonds, and caramel.
Sweet with a little heat on the back of the palate, with medium acidity.
A long and complex finish with notes of toasted hazelnuts and a bit of red cherry. -

December 7, 2023 - Smooth and most enjoyable. On the nose prunes and caramel. On the palate, raisin, caramel, and smoke with a hint of prune and almond. Good at this price point- $44.99.

October 16, 2023 - E: Medium ruby center to watery copper rim
N: Prunes, brown sugar, a little toast. Slight touch of tropical fruit, and pomegranate.
P: Pomegranate, black berries, chocolate and coffee. Touch of roast nuts.
F: Medium, maple syrup, fruit leather. Burnt sugar.
NB: Tasted from a 50 ml bottle as part of a vertical tasting of QDC’s tawny ports. -
