January 14, 2024 - Opened with 3 other 1966 Bordeaux (all same provenance) and this was the star! decanted through a coffee filter as the cork did not want to come out. But impressive immediately and continued to impress over the next hour hour and a half as it was consumed. Bright red notes. A bit of cherry and other red fruit with plenty of character. Oxidation and a bit of funk blew off quickly.
